Dayna coordinates the "Whispers from the Dust" cemetery grant program for ICAPGen. Dayna became involved in cemetery record preservation 13 years ago when she began a project to abstract the King City, California cemetery records. Seven years and 5,000 records later, King City Cemetery burial records and map were integrated in records management software, and four years after that were uploaded to an innovative website for all the world to access. You can read about her project on www.namesinstone.com. Now visitors to King City, population 12,000, can find an ancestor's grave on their i-phone, and add a digital picture of the headstone as they are standing next to it!
