Level 1 Fee

$100

This fee covers the cost of processing and grading the four-generation application project.

Level 2 Fee

$80

For applicants who have passed Level 1 only. This fee covers the cost of administering the written exam (parts 1-4).

Level 3 Fee

$80

This fee covers the costs of administering the exam (parts 5-6) and oral review, preparing certificates, maintaining the ICAPGen database and website, and marketing information about Accredited Genealogist^® professionals to the public.

Retake Fee

$50

This fee covers the cost of readministering one portion of the testing process. If an applicant fails Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3, a $50 retake fee is assessed to allow the applicant to retake that level. The $50 retake fee applies for one year from the time the initial fee was paid. After one year, the next subsequent attempt will require the full fee.

Custom Scheduling Fee

$200

This is an additional fee for an applicant who wishes to take Level 2 or 3 of the ICAPGen exam on a non-scheduled testing date. Requires advance approval of the ICAPGen Testing Chair.

Annual Maintenance Fee

$60

For AG professionals only. This fee covers the costs of maintaining the ICAPGen database and website, marketing information about Accredited Genealogist^® professionals to the public, and administering ICAPGen's Renewals Program.

Annual Maintenance Fee: Additional Credential

$15

This is the annual fee for second and subsequent AG credentials. If you have more than one AG credential, please pay the regular annual fee for the first credential and this discounted fee for each subsequent credential.

Renewal Fee

$0

There will be no renewal fee if the Accredited Genealogist professional pays the annual maintenance fee.
