Lorraine L. Bourne

Lorraine L. Bourne has been enthusiastically involved in genealogy and family history work for many years. She obtained a bachelors degree with an emphasis in Family History and a minor in Business Management from BYU in 2005. Beginning in 2004 she conducted professional work as an intern and a volunteer, then following her graduation in 2005, she worked as a research consultant and had personal clients. In 2006 she obtained her accreditation in the Mid-South region of the U.S. Other areas of experience are immigration, naturalization, military, Colonial, African American, Native American, and some British research. She continues to attend college courses, institutes, seminars, and conferences with in-depth training on research in several areas of the United States and the British Isles. As an adjunct professor, she teaches beginning genealogy, American research, genealogy tools and programs, and internet research at Salt Lake Community College.
